Now Offering Overmolding Capabilities for Catheter Sub-Assemblies
Spectrum Plastics Group now offers value-added overmolding capabilities at our Sandy, Utah facility. We recently added four state-of-the-art injection molding machines to the ISO 13485-2016 operation. Overmolding hubs and luers directly over single and multi-lumen extrusions allows Spectrum to offer an integrated solution for catheter sub-assemblies. The Spectrum Plastics east coast catheter center in Wall, New Jersey also has overmolding capabilities, with three injection molding machines in-house.
The four injection molding machines range from 11 to 55 tons, which are suited for reliable injection molding of highly precise products, including dilator and sheath sets. As customers require more complex devices, these machines allow us to meet their needs by operating in a horizontal or vertical position to produce injection molded products and insert molded assemblies.
